the comment of Mind Blowing Movies: Groundhog Day (1993), by Ruben Bolling

In the movie, Bill is a person who is very selfish and self-esteem. He despise upon everything. He feel his the transcendent people around his friends and colleagues. Therefore, he is really jaded about Feb 2 which always held the ceremony of Groundhog. He feel it is a very stupid behavior. Because of his job, he is the predictor of weather. He just believe himself. After the ceremony, he find he always live on Feb 2 again and again. It make him think a lot. He want to change himself. I think the director want to remind us that the time is very vital. We can not despise them. In addition to this, everything has their value. We should respect them.
