The Struggle to Be an All American Girl

i have read the similar book before in Taiwan. In this book, the author describe about when he was child. His family decided to immigrate to USA. I think no matter you are Taiwanese or Chinese will meet the same problem as the writer. Their family always ask  their child learn their mother language. In my opinion, Chinese is really difficult language. Even English is more east than Chinese. Even i am Taiwanese, i always fail in my Chinese class. It is very hard working for kids. in addition, they always meet a question about which is their race? Chines or  American? In their conscious, they will feel i grow up America. Therefore, i belong to them. However, the native will recognize them. On the other hand, their ancestor is from China. They can't disassociate this blood. However, they don't have any idea about their home country. Is they belong to them? I realize the writer prefer to celebrate Cingo de Mayo than Chinese New Year. To identify which they belong is not vital. Just have self-conscious and recognize theiselves is more important.
