In the modern society , we receive tremendous information from media . However , they will send some wrong message for audience . Therefore , i think we have to cultivate the media cultivation . From the essay , we can see the audience misunderstand the message . It make them so panic . A lot population want to flee from New Jersy . What will happen this ? I think the answer is very simple. Because , during that time , the media industry just develop . Furthermore , they don't know how to tell the true or phony . In addition to this , they don't have the internet . Therefore , they don't have the other way to check the information .

ReplyDeleteYou are correct, radio was still a new medium of communication, and people trusted the information that was broadcast.
While they did have newspapers, radio broadcasts were "live" and "immediate", while newspapers could only publish once or twice daily. Thus, the ability to check other sources was delayed by several hours, if not days.
